During the Summer of 2023, I was a Graphic Design Intern with Design Collaborative in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I had the opportunity to contribute to several physical and digital projects in addition to being involved in a group intern project that started the conceptual foundation to give back and revitalize a local neighborhood.
Design Collaborative’s Give Back Gang, a group assembled to coordinate giving back to our community, tasked summer interns with meaningful projects centered around helping out communities and organizations in our backyard. The Harvester Community celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023, and Design Collaborative partnered with this community to help visualize their plans and dreams for the future of the neighborhood. The group of summer interns split into three groups to tackle three design efforts.
